Wood processed at MATRA comes from plantations of pine and eucalypt managed in a sustainable manner and in harmony with the environment. Besides being a more economical option, the use of timber that comes from renewable resources prevents depredation of native species’ forests (hardwoods).
Our firm materializes its commitment with sustainable management, preserving the chain of custody of forest products in accordance with environmental management standards.
Our entrepreneurial organization, technicians and personnel ensure both safety of treatment applied to wood and top quality of end products.
ENVIROMEENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
In pursue of effective and sustainable results which are not obtained by isolated measures but through systematic efforts, in July 2004, the Department of Treated Timber approved the Declaration on Environmental Policy according to its Vision and in compliance with the requirements established under specification UNIT-ISO 14001.
Furthermore, we require from our suppliers the F.S.C. Certification, emphasizing the importance of renewable resources management.
